Developments

Recently, a large utility company approached us to help them develop a program to target homeowners whose home would be right for replacing older, inefficient heating systems with newer, more efficient heating systems. We identified their MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) into 9 territories and targeted homes that were at least 10 years old. We then cross matched their existing database with information about the homes, and whether the homes were heated by natural gas or electricity. Even in this difficult economy, their response rate exceeded projections, and are now planning a program to replace water heaters with more efficient systems.

We will also be helping them to identify lower income homes, homes owned by seniors, and homes with children for the upcoming Federal program to weatherize American homes.

Territory Mapping

Ramjac Data was recently approached by a Fortune 500 grocery chain to help it develop a mailing reminder program for seniors to get their flu shots! We mapped each store location with a 5 mile radius, and assigned homes to the closest location when territories overlapped. Included in the mailing was a refrigerator magnet and a $10.00 off coupon. Response rates tripled over last year, when only a postcard was mailed with no offer.

Pizza!

A small pizza company just opened, and wanted all the businesses and households with a 20 minute delivery area. We mapped the areas along the two highways they wanted to service, and ordered them a walk sequence saturation mailing list with the caption "To The Pizza Lover At..." Their specialty Deep Dish Chicago Pizza promotion was a huge success, so much so that they hired three new delivery drivers for the rush hours of 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We are preparing a March Madness College Basketball promotion for them that includes a refrigerator magnet and a "buy one, get the second at half price" coupon. The postage savings from the walk sequence saturation mailing list saved them more than the mailing list and printing cost!

Data Appending

We just completed a complete data hygiene program for a large institutional lender. We took their existing database of customers, cleaned up the addresses and standardized the name fields with Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) software , appended gender, homeownership, income and ethnic information from our named consumer database, and processed the entire list through National Change of Address and Locatable Address Correction Software. We then appended the distance from the customers location to the nearest branch office, and identified all households within a 10 mile radius of a branch office for mailing. We identified a whopping 37% non-deliverable \ duplication rate in their existing customer database!
